Ummm, it snowed

And it is the end of April.
Please, give me a break!
I want warm wind and sunshine and flowers!
Now, I get to build a snowman.

For my new baby sister

For my family reunion (which will be by the ocean!!!)
For the letters in the mail
For the books I'm going to read
For school being over
For next fall and the year after that and pretty much everything awesome that will ever happen to me again.
Now is just a happy time. That's what spring does to me. I just get all excited.

April Showers bring May Flowers

I love spring. And it is raining and it is beautiful. It is a good, spring rain and I'm excited for May, when it gets really warm and you can spend all day outside, getting a sunburn.

PICNIC!

LOVE LOVE love the weather. And the sun. And the green grass. AND the fact that I had a picnic today! The funnest one I've had ALL year. Actually, the first one of the year. But it was so much fun that it began the year of picnicking off JUST right. I love it!

I also love donuts.

Ice Skating

One of the most wonderful experiences and feelings I get is when I go ice skating or take someone else ice skating. I LOVE IT!!! And then you fall and get a bruise on your chin and your shoulder and you get a kink in your neck and you get a sore leg. Yep, I love ice skating...still.
You know, when you're going really fast and you just let yourself glide along and you put your arms out you just feel like you could be flying. Absolutely Amazing

I mean, texting is so much more normal.
That's why you expect to open your phone and read something instead of talk to someone.
I mean, it's so much easier to show affection to a piece of metal.

Monday

Today is not Monday. It is Wednesday. But, for the sake of reminiscing, I shall call it Monday. Actually Wednesday sounds a lot better to me, because Monday really didn't light my fire. Today had better be better than a Monday. Unless your favorite day of the week is Monday, let's all enjoy Wednesday for being Wednesday.

(Actually, apart from that, today is a very special day. Today is the anniversary of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Remember that! And it is Christ's birthday, his real birthday. Aren't you excited for Easter!)

First

So, the end of March is come and gone. Now you have to start off aPril right.
I find that the first is a very important concept. I am the first child of my parents; that means a lot of different things, like being the first to go to college, the first to get chosen to change a diaper, or the first to establish a standard.
First is so cool, like what's the first letter of your name? Or what's the first flower to bloom in the spring? Or your first house as a family, or your first pet bird, or your first kiss, or first birthday, or first day of April in 2011. Actually this is the only april first, 2011 ever. THere is never going to be another day to replace this one. What if you look back in time and look at all those April firsts? What will make this one stand out? What will you do to remember today as a WOnDERfUL DAy rather than just another day in April? Make every day count, never let one go by without remembering that you can't live it again. Smile, make a new friend, be happy, enjoy the sunshine, I'll see you on Monday!

Wow!

What a great day! The rest of today had better be as good as the few hours of bliss I've had this morning. One thing I'm afraid of, with this blog, is not writing in my journal as much as I do on the blog...that would be sort of dorky, in my opinion. I think I'm okay with this month, but if I ever stop posting, you'll know why (it's because I'm trying to write my thoughts somewhere more meaningful and I seriously don't have that many thoughts to write so I've got to put them where it counts, you know, divide them evenly).

I'M READY!

Now that school and other random obligations are over for the day and I have nothing really very important to stress about, I can look forward to the weekend. I am so excited because it will be a blast. Plus, I'm going to get spiritually saturated the whole two days. Very nice. Anyway, after that all I have to look forward to is Summer and vacation, which in and of itself is pretty exciting. I hope you are looking forward to it, because if you aren't you can go live in Antarctica, where there isn't any summer and you won't have to worry about it any more.
Enjoy your weekend, and your summer, and your spring (which is so much better than summer, in my opinion).

Uh, okay. This is all I could think of

I just typed in, like, ten titles that could have worked perfectly well for a post, but none of the entries I could think of to go with those titles would have been at all interesting, beneficial, or funny in any way to you. So I went with this one, that describes my ineptness at finding something more intelligent.

Huh, I think it worked.

So I was walking up the sidewalk to my class and someone stopped me by putting their hand on my arm, like they wanted to tell me something really important. He had this really serious face on and just looked into my eyes. Talk about strange. I was instantly weirded out and just waited for something crazy. He told me that my hair was long. Then walked away. I was speechless, and he was probably laughing his head off at the face I didn't know I was making. I still try not to be afraid of everyone around me, avoiding eye contact, etc. I don't really want that to happen again. Still, what are you supposed to say to that?

Welcome Spring!

Yesterday, the first official day of spring, welcomed it with grey skies, then rain and snow (at the same time!), and then sun and a strong wind. It was very interesting as well that today it was snowing! I love spring, but March is just a little too crazy to be taken seriously.

Rain Clouds

Today I woke up and it was gray outside because the sun wasn't up yet. Then I went to breakfast and it was still gray, because the clouds were dark and covering the sun. And yet it was warm enough to go outside without my jacket. It is still gray outside and I wish the rain would just start falling, so I can be happy. The tension in the air makes me want to do something, but I don't know what to do so I'll just beg the sky to let go and drown us in its tears.

Daffodils

I think the daffodils are starting to bloom. It makes me so happy! They are some of my favorite flowers!
