I've done it again

There you have it. My goal for NOT posting until Saturday has flown out the window...again. I officially need to make a more attainable goal. But guess what? I DID IT AGAIN!!!!
I made another book, this time out of necessity. My sister didn't get a yearbook from school this year but she wanted a signature book (and scrapbook-type-thing) so I volunteered to make one for her. And here it is! School colors and all.














I have to admit that though I'm proud, the cover design was mostly of her choosing. But she did give me the credit for it by having a "made by" card to glue into the cover. That made me happy.

Me, being craftsy

I swore I wouldn't post until the twenty-eighth, but I couldn't resist. I was just having so much fun last night, until midnight, making something. (I have to give some credit to my future-and former-roommate, who told me to do something for myself or I wouldn't have even attempted this ;)

I had an old tissue box with a pretty pattern and an old cereal box (without a pretty pattern) and an old patterned paper gift bag that I loved. I just had to do something with them. This is what I came up with:

A little memo book and a journal! They were so much fun to make! I can't wait to use them. Now all I have to do is find a clasp-type-thing to close the journal with. Not sure what to use yet...(if you've got some brilliant ideas, let me know!)

I am conqueror

I planted these babies a couple days ago. All by myself. They weigh about a ton each - okay, that IS exaggerating a bit too much, but they were very heavy. And prickly. But now they are planted and I Am Conqueror!

Luck

Today is one of the best days of the entire year, not to mention the month of May. It just so happens that it is Friday the thirteenth, a personal day of good luck and happiness and good stuff. I wish you luck in all your endeavors and remember: thirteen is divisible by seven, which is a lucky number, so thirteen is also a lucky number.

Peeerrrrrfect. That is when I jump for joy because my family is ginormous. Because Mommy buys everything in bulk, you get a huge tub of nutella to eat as much as you like.

Happy Mother's Day!

I know what this day means to all the mothers out there, especially since I'm the oldest of soon-to-be-eleven children. I look up to my mom in wonder, amazement, and gratitude for all she's done for all of us. I also thank all the women who have been an influence for good in my life and who've taught me all I know today. If I didn't know you, where would I be? Definitely not where I am! So thank you and Happy Mother's Day!

The sky, the sun, the wind, the warm air, and the allergies

Spring just bounces in and everything is absolutely perfect because the air is just the right temperature and the flowers are in bloom and the sky is brilliantly blue with fluffy white clouds. Picture perfect, am I right?
Well, then you have to have the allergy attack. Pollens come with flowers and greening trees and earth and one can't even enjoy it because they can't go outside without sneezing their brains out or rubbing their eyes until you can't open them for the swollen redness. Pathetic. I think allergies are worse than mosquitoes.

YAAAY!!!

I talked to my roommate today! On Skype. It was fantastically relieving. I've been sorta stressed with having to adjust moving home and that just made me feel a little bit better to see her. Besides it totally messing up my afternoon plans and my family's, but hey! It wasn't that bad. AND it was worth it.

With it being the season of Spring and all I've gone outside so many times to take tons of pictures. There are some decent ones that you can see under my pictures tab.

April Showers bring May Flowers

I love spring. And it is raining and it is beautiful. It is a good, spring rain and I'm excited for May, when it gets really warm and you can spend all day outside, getting a sunburn.

LOVE LOVE love the weather. And the sun. And the green grass. AND the fact that I had a picnic today! The funnest one I've had ALL year. Actually, the first one of the year. But it was so much fun that it began the year of picnicking off JUST right. I love it!

Ice Skating

One of the most wonderful experiences and feelings I get is when I go ice skating or take someone else ice skating. I LOVE IT!!! And then you fall and get a bruise on your chin and your shoulder and you get a kink in your neck and you get a sore leg. Yep, I love ice skating...still.
You know, when you're going really fast and you just let yourself glide along and you put your arms out you just feel like you could be flying. Absolutely Amazing
